It is calculated in the same way as maturity is calculated in the US and UK, the main difference being that the language analyzed is first translated from Mandarin to English using an automated translation technology, and then analyzed. This is why the automated maturity calculator is marked as BETA because there are limitations to Automated translation methods. So while it can serve as a fantastic gauge for the relative maturity of an idea in China (versus the US and the UK), it is not always 100% accurate and therefore, for the purpose of projects that require a high level of accuracy, we always recommend lobbing the question over to our client advisory team.
